Welcome to Inner City Church of Christ.  Planted in early 2013 through the blessings of the East Baltimore COC congregation, we are dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Christ in our community. Our journey began with our first worship service on January 5, 2014, at the Furley Recreation Center. Under the leadership of Eric Lorick as Senior Minister and Rodney Dashiell Assistant Minister. 

 

In  2015 Brothers Joseph Lorick and Raymond Beale were ordained  Gospel Ministers. Brandon Simons became Ministry Leader of the Bible Education Ministry and Timothy Mack became Ministry Leader of the Young Adult Ministry.  

 

In January 2016. Bro. Dashiell moved to another work. We are forever grateful to the whole Dashiell family for their foundational work in helping to establish the Inner City COC congregation
 

In 2018  Brandon Simons and Timothy Mack began Minister’s Training.

 

The Evangelism Ministry team under the leadership of Bro. Raymond Beale through the grace of God has taught and baptized from 2014- many souls.  Currently evangelism team is cordinatied by Donnie Whitefield, Jr, Evangelist.

 

​The Education Ministry, led by Bro. Brandon Simons, proudly launched its first VBS in 2018, marking a significant milestone in our community. The current Education Ministry leader is Bro. Eric Lorick, Minister

 

The Young Adult Ministry, under Bro. Timothy Mack's leadership, successfully organized the Community Back to School drive for the third consecutive year. It is currently under the direction of Joseph Lorick, Minister.

 

Our Women’s Ministry, “Women of Purpose,” has been inspiring members since  2014, coordinated by Andrea Lorick. Sister C. Mack is the current Womens Ministry coordinator  The girls mentoring program, ‘True Beauty,’ began with  Sis.Nikia Williams and has continued to thrive under the guidance of  Carolyn Mack. The Sister2Sister Fellowship has provided support and connection since 2014, transitioning from Tiffany Green  to Nakeia  Anderson  & Anita Johnson in 2017. The Annual Mother & Daughter Luncheon remains a cherished event, featuring uplifting speakers and strong attendance. Also in early  2019 call in Women Study  classe was added under the direction of Sisters Rene Horton and Jean Dowd.  Women's Monday study is currenlty taught by sister Beverly Burrell.

In September 2018, we were incredibly blessed to purchase a building and a house on 1.3 acres, 5718 Bowleys lane allowing us to continue our mission in the neighborhood we love. Join us as we strive to fulfill the Great Commission together!

 

In 2019, we celebrated Bro. Timothy Mack's ordination as Youth Minister and Young Adult Minister after three years of dedicated service Bro. Mack stepped down in October 2020, leaving behind a legacy of love for our youth. 

 

Since October 2021, we have been blessed by the membership of Donnie and Chanell Whitfield. Bro. Whitfield, an ordained Evangelist, has taken on the stewardship of Evangelism and joined our leadership team.

In 2022, we launched the Kidz Konnection summer  program, aimed at Christian character in our community's children through engaging outdoor activities. ​​

 

We also celebrated our first Black History Month program in 2023, thanks to the efforts of  Donnie Whitfield,Jr ,Chanell Whitfield and Carolyn Mack to
God be the Glory for His faithfulness as we continue to grow both spiritually and numerically!​​

 

In 2023, Inner City Church of Christ Installed  Brothers Eric Lorick and Donnie Whitfield, Jr. as Elders .  Eric Lorick announced in 2025 that he would become Minister Emeritus soon and immediately stepped down from Eldership.  The vision for the Inner City congregation includes a younger. energetic, Christ lead ministerial leadership and a larger presence in the East Baltimore City community, as we strive to fulfill the Great Commission together!
